Profile

As an experienced educator, designer and illustrator, I am seeking an opportunity to contribute as a visual communication faculty member and in a production environment.

Experience

Assistant Professor of Digital Media — Kennesaw State University — Kennesaw, Georgia — 2019-Present

Instructor in The School of Art and Design (SOAAD), presiding over Design Applications in Art, Electronic Illustration, Motion Graphics, Design Practicum and Web Design for Artists.

 

Instructor — Berry College — Rome, Georgia — 2015-2019

As a member of the Art Department faculty, I write and administer courses in Graphic Design, Light Media, Web Design (HTML5/CSS), Digital Imaging, and Special Topics: Typography, for students studying studio art and creative technologies.

Instructor — The University of West Georgia — Carrollton, Georgia — 2015

Graphic Design capstone course. I wrote and executed a portfolio prep and print production course for senior Graphic Design students.

Instructor — The Art Institute of Atlanta — Atlanta, Georgia — 2006-2017

As a long tenured Graphic and Web Design faculty member. I was fortunate to have the extensive experience in administering courses in design fundamentals, digital color theory, typography, digital illustration, layout, print production, publication design, image manipulation, HTML5/CSS, C++, and timeline animation and interactivity.

Contract Graphic Artist — The American College of Rheumatology
Atlanta, Georgia — 2013-2022

I report directly to the publishers of Arthritis & Rheumatology as an illustrator, designer and optimization production artist in the editing and improvement of infographics and illustrations submitted by rheumatology specialists and researchers. I am also assigned many print related projects related to the A&R annual convention.
